Kasalo: The Heart of Sharing in Every Bite

Who We Are

Family

We are sisters, Melanie Francisco and Amelia Francisco, who grew up with amazing grandmothers and a mother who showered us and with love through food.  We were never without hunger, and we were never without love.  It gives us so much joy to be able to share a small, sweet slice of our childhood with you!

Sharing and Partaking (Kasalo)

In the Philippines, we have a special meal between lunch and dinner called meryenda.  It's a time to rest, get out of the hot sun, enjoy the company of friends and family, while eating a light meal together.  We love this tradition of sharing company and food together.  It's our hope that our baked goods bring you and your loved ones together while partaking in sweet snacks!

Baked Goods and Pastries

Kamusta!  Hi!  I am Amelia Francisco - previously a Pastry Chef in Seattle, turned school teacher for  12 years, and now back to my roots in baking again.  To be able to showcase Filipino desserts and baked goods for our community is an honor and a sweet delight!

Yeah, but, where's the coffee in Kasalo Coffee  ?

Please Stay Tuned!

Kasalo Coffee will soon be serving the Vancouver community with that cup of coffee or tea to pair perfectly with your yummy Filipino Baked Goods!
